The centerpiece of this captivating embroidery is the majestic Mauritian Owl, a species that is now sadly extinct. With intricate stitching and vibrant threads, these owls are meticulously embroidered to achieve a lifelike quality.
Hand embroidered onto a white and blue striped cotton fabric, which has been recycled, it is then stitched with bead embroidery and the back is finished off with a piece of felt.
The wooden embroidery hoop measures 17cm in diameter.
